Word Cloud comprises forty-seven translations of the words “ad astra,” which represent the diversity of languages spoken by the student body of this school. These words appear at their suggestion; they are excerpted from the phrase “per aspera ad astra,” which means “through adversity into the stars.” The sculpted text reflects the palpability of language, while pointing to its distant origins in the constellation of the stars.
